Interior insulation

iQ-Therm - the intelligent interior insulation system by Remmers

Inside insulation changes the thermal and the hygric behaviour of the existing construction. In addition to the dew problem, the changed drying behaviour of the construction must be taken into account.

Interior insulation on external walls has a special impact on the physical behaviour of the building. In particular, the water vapour diffusion and possible moisture penetration and the limited drying potential after exposure to driving rain needs to be taken into account when selecting the right insulating material when adapting dimensions.

Interior insulation is an alternative or supplement to exterior insulation and/or core insulation. With these systems the supporting masonry lies on the warm side of the insulation, the potential or risk of condensation should always be taken into account.
