    Properties

    • Solvent-based
    • Functions: sealing layer, filler, coloured coating and topcoat
    • Anti-fingerprint effect
    • High mechanical resistance
    • Lightfast
    • Very high resistance to metal rings
    • Good stability (coating suspended surfaces)
    • Resistant to hot water and steam
    • Excellent flow properties
    • High build
    • Good hiding power
    • Fire behaviour according to DIN EN 13501-1: C-s1,d0 on suitable substrates
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

The substrate must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease and loose substances, and prepared in the correct manner.

        Wood moisture content: 8-12%

        MDF boards: bulk density >= 700 kg/m³

      • Preparations

Wash off greasy or resin-rich woods/substrates with WV-891 or V-890. Use UN-894 indoors on the construction site. Ensure good ventilation for solvents.

        Sand wood using P 100 - 180 grit.

        Sand panels using P 180 - 320 grit.

        Sand filler using P 240 - 320 grit.

    • Application
      • Application temperature: min. 18 °C max. 25 °C
      • Airless/airmix spraying / Flow cup gun
      • Stir well.

        Spray.

        Airmix spraying: nozzle size: 0.23 - 0.28 mm, material pressure: 80 - 100 bar, atomiser air pressure: 1.2 - 2 bar.

        Airless spraying: nozzle size: 0.23 - 0.28 mm, material pressure: 80 - 120 bar.

Flow cup gun: nozzle size: 1.8 - 2.0 mm; atomiser air pressure: 2 - 3 bar.

Carry out intermediate sanding (P 240 - 320) immediately before further coats.

Intensive colours, such as yellow, red, etc. may have a lower hiding power due to their pigments. Apply an additional coat if required.

The rheological setting enables a high setting capacity, but is accompanied by a delayed, smoothly tensioned surface in the wet phase, which is achieved at the latest after through-drying. The described effect is particularly pronounced when using a flow cup gun.

Seal opened containers well and use contents as soon as possible.

    • Application instructions
      • Drying time: can be worked over after 3 h
      • Check colour, adhesion and compatibility with the substrate by setting up a trial area.

Prior to full application, please apply a test coat to a sample area under practical conditions using the desired system, then test or examine the surface properties.

Before coating technically modified woods and wood-based materials, apply the product to a trial surface and conduct a suitability test on the desired area of use.

The ring resistance and the tendency of the surface to shine up under mechanical stress are strongly dependent on the gloss level selected: higher gloss levels are generally more robust here than extremely matt finishes. In the case of increased, constant stress, a clear coating may therefore be advisable.

In order to achieve unrestricted ring resistance and minimise the tendency to shine up under mechanical stress, we recommend varnishing with suitable, lightfast clear varnishes.

      • Drying

Low temperatures and high humidity delay drying

Practice values at +20 °C and 65% relative humidity.

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Airless/airmix spraying / Flow cup gun
      • Airless/airmix spraying equipment, flow cup gun

Clean tools using WV-891 Brush Wash or V-890 Thinner.

Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • Store frost-free and cool / protect for moisture / close containers
      • Shelf-life 12 months
      • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

    • Usage
      • Approx. 100 - 120 ml / m² per layer applied
      • 100 - 120 ml/m² per coat

    • General information
      • To preserve the quality of the surface, we recommend regular cleaning and care using a lint-free cotton cloth. Please use solvent-free and silicone-free cleaning agents.

For certified structures, consult the applicable certificate/test report for the application quantities.

For applications in accordance with the Marine Equipment Directive, the maximum total wet application quantity is 240 g/m² or 240 µ for all colours and 300 g/m² or 240 µ for white.

    • Disposal instructions
      • Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.
