Many Remmers wood coatings are compliant with the standard EN 71-3, are VOC-tested and therefore particularly low-emission, food-safe and free from additives of animal origin (vegan). Remmers 1K Aqua varnishes
Remmers is the specialist in water-based varnishes for the timber industry. For furniture finishes and interior fittings, the high-performance 1K Aqua varnishes from Remmers can tackle a wide range of tasks by themselves. This offers many advantages for the user: they are more environmentally friendly than traditional two-component, solvent-based paints; this also promotes a healthy living environment thanks to their favourable emission characteristics. Handling is much simpler and also more cost-efficient, which avoids expensive material wastage due to limited pot life. And that's not all: By adding the isocyanate-free crosslinker Aqua VGA-485 Crosslinker & Glass Lacquer Additive, the resistance and adhesion properties of selected paints labelled as "2K-ready" can be further enhanced by the user if desired – without having to accept the disadvantages of classic 2K paints.
Remmers [eco] – ecology and economy in harmony
Modern, water-based paint systems are an important step towards a more sustainable future. Remmers goes far beyond this with the products in its [eco] range. These products are largely manufactured from renewable raw materials and therefore only have very limited or no dependence on petroleum-based raw materials. Products such as Aqua HWS-712 Hard Wax Seal [eco] and HSO-118 High Solid Oil [eco] have also been put through their paces by independent testing institutes. The products comply with vegan principles, have favourable emission characteristics thanks to their very low VOC content, contain no hazardous substances, and some have also been tested for food contact behaviour. It is important to mention that we want our [eco] products to be in no way inferior to conventional products in terms of performance. This is how sustainability makes the most sense in perspective.
