Salt removal and cleaning
Contamination and salt accumulation can damage the building substance. Chemical, mechanical or almost water-free cleaning and the use of our Remmers salt binding compresses can minimise impurities and salts that are harmful to stone. You can reduce harmful heavy metals on façade surfaces without emissions using Arte Mundit and Clean Galena.
Natural stone preservation
The weathering of a mineral building material is always accompanied by a weakening of its microstructure. The strength of the building material can be restored by applying an additional binder that is identical in nature to the silicic acid ester. With our various stone strengthening systems, we offer solutions for all conservation tasks.
Remmers restoration mortars and restoration render systems
Remmers restoration mortar systems are suitable for supplementary restoration work on natural stone. The different binders, grain sizes and strength levels of the long-lasting priming and restoration mortars offer you customised solutions to suit a wide range of applications.
If the render finish is also being renewed during a façade renovation, the most suitable materials should be selected for the base and finishing coats. If high salt levels are detected in the masonry, our restoration render systems are the first choice. If the focus is on the use of traditional materials and processing techniques, we can offer the optimum solution in the form of our Remmers historic mortar system or our natural cement mortars.
