Versatile coatings for windows and exterior doors
Coatings for Windows & Doors

Helping wooden doors and windows look their very best? We get it done!

Windows, doors and other building elements made of wood create a cosy, warm ambience and delight the senses with their natural beauty. The right protection, optimum care and perfectly customised products for each type of wood are important to ensure that they retain their splendour over time. Our premium coatings for hardwoods and softwoods create a truly eye-catching finish for your windows and doors. Our innovative wood coatings ensure that you can easily match the appearance of the components to neighbouring timber elements, such as façades, carports and soffits, and maintain their visual impact over the long term.

Fine wood finish for hardwoods

Hardwoods such as oak, meranti, mahogany or teak are particularly durable – but they can be a pricy option. In terms of stability and moisture absorption, hardwoods often perform better than softwoods. Thanks to their natural resistance, impregnation with biocidal wood preservatives is often not necessary. Nevertheless, design-based wood protection and care are important for longevity. The interplay between the porous surface structure and our subtly coordinated coating system allows you to experience the most natural wood finish possible.

Fine wood colours for softwoods

Native softwoods such as spruce, pine and larch are perennially popular choices. Many people make a conscious decision to use wood from local plantations. Softwoods are often a cheaper alternative to hardwoods. In terms of thermal insulation, the more lightweight softwoods also fare slightly better than hardwoods. To ensure that softwoods are presented in their best light, they can be given a high-quality colour finish with our translucent coating systems. Dimensionally stable timber components made of softwood, protected with Induline coating systems, can give a property a touch of character with real staying power.

Bare wood effect for windows and front doors

When it comes to light-coloured wood types such as oak, spruce or larch in particular, there is a growing trend towards ever more natural finishes, which has gained momentum in recent years for furniture and flooring. Wood-aluminium windows, windows, conservatories and front doors made of wood can be finished with our matching products. Elements not directly exposed to weathering can be finished with clear coatings that hardly emphasise the grain at all, given them a virtually bare appearance. Our natural colours are suitable for elements directly exposed to weathering. The cloth-matt finish and natural pigmentation are modelled on the respective wood types. The result: the most natural appearance possible and extra UV protection as well as resistance to hand cream and scratches.

When it comes to a house façade, a wooden front door is the centrepiece. However, the surface is particularly exposed to everyday mechanical stresses. For a long time, conventional window coating systems were also used on front doors. However, the durability of window coatings is not sufficient for front doors, so new solutions are required. Our high-quality intermediate and finishing coat systems have set new standards in this area of application.
