Remmers casting concretes and mortars are high-strength concrete replacement mortars for load-bearing components. Their flowable consistency is what sets them apart from traditional mortar and concrete. Casting concrete and mortar are used in thin layers, e.g. for filling joints or encasing column footings or sleeve foundations in concrete. They are also used to fill defects, cavities or crevices, or for pouring under and around concrete components.
Casting concretes can also be used as concrete replacement mortar in accordance with the current technical regulations. This decision should always be made by a professional planner. Remmers casting concretes and mortars can withstand even extreme environmental conditions. They are durable, reliable and resistant to frost and de-icing salts. We offer the right product for every situation, depending on the requirements of the substrate and the exposure level. By definition, casting concrete has a grain size of > 4 mm, while casting mortar has a grain size of < 4 mm. The maximum permissible layer thicknesses must not exceed 25 times the largest grain size used. For casting concrete of early strength class C, the layer thickness may be increased to 40 times the size of the largest grain used.
