Remmers wood-strengthening agents and wood replacement compounds can be used to stabilise and restore wooden components that have been damaged by insect or fungal attack. They are suitable for use in particular on listed buildings. Wood that has been contaminated with pollutants such as PCP or lindane can be effectively treated using an independently tested system: To do this, the pollutant is first immobilised in the wood and then completely sealed off so that it can no longer enter the indoor air.
