In principle, insulation can take two forms, namely exterior and/or interior insulation. While exterior insulation is the norm for new buildings, older buildings – especially those with a high-quality or even listed façade – cannot be insulated from the outside.
So-called “capillary-active” interior insulation is more robust and much easier to install than conventional interior insulation, because it does not require an interior film as a vapour barrier. Since 2009, iQ-Therm has been the benchmark for capillary-active interior insulation, combining two highly specialised materials into a perfect system in a simple yet ingenious way.
