Safety instructions
- Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before using!
Product specifications
On delivery
The stated values represent typical product characteristics and are not to be construed as binding product specifications.
Field of application
- Wood in interiors and in protected outside areas
- Control of wood-destroying insects for wooden building elements such as roof trusses, wooden beams, floors, etc.
- House borer and deathwatch beetle
- Also with preventive action against fungi and insects
Properties
- Ready to use
- Good penetration characteristics
- Prevention of emergence pursuant to DIN EN 370
- No unpleasant odour
- Test predicates: Ib = effective control of insects, Iv = preventive effect against insects, P = preventive effect against fungi (rot protection)
- Does not attack plastics, glass, copper, iron or coatings on these materials

Preparation
-
Substrate requirements
Determine the nature and extent of the infestation.
In case of doubt, consult a structural engineer.
Strip away infested wood down to the deepest feeding tunnels.
If wooden building elements have suffered significant structural impairment, reinforce or replace them with timber that has been given preventive treatment.
-
Preparations
Remove decomposed wood and loose wood fibres with a steel brush.

Application
-
Brush application, borehole impregnation under pressure, borehole impregnation
Brush application:
3 treatments are normally needed (wet-on-wet) to reach the required application quantity.
Borehole impregnation:
Taking the structural conditions into consideration, position the holes (diameter 10 mm, ¾ of the beam thickness) with a spacing of 10 cm offset from one another in the grain direction, and 5 cm across the grain.
Drill vertical pieces of wood at an inclination of 35-45° facing downwards.
Fill boreholes 3-4 times, then close up with an impregnated wooden dowel.
Borehole impregnation under pressure:
With injection under pressure, it is possible to apply the wood preservative in a single procedure. No inclination angle is required, so injection under pressure can also be used for overhead working. The borehole diameter is 5-10 mm. The wood preservative is injected at a pressure of 3-10 bar. In order to achieve the required application quantity, the injection pressure must be maintained for at least 30 s and the working pressure monitored, taking into consideration the absorption capacity and condition of the wood.
Seal opened containers well and use contents as soon as possible.

Application instructions
-
Check colour, adhesion and compatibility with the substrate by setting up a trial area.
When using for infestation control in recreation rooms or adjoining rooms, use of the room as a recreation room is only permitted from 4 weeks after the treatment.
-
Drying
Practice values at +20 °C and 65% relative humidity.
Low temperatures, poor ventilation and high humidity delay drying.
-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Flat brush, wide brush, funnel, injection pump, high-performance sprayer (e.g. Gloria 405/410 T), pressure hose with gripper head and bushing, plastic injector
Clean tools immediately after use with water.
Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
Store in well-sealed, original containers, out of the reach of children and in a dry, cool, well-ventilated room which is protected from direct sunlight and frost. No smoking is permitted in storage areas.
-
Usage
-
Infestation control: 300 ml/m²
Preventive protection in the context of infestation control: 100 ml/m²
-
