Children's House Market - Rankweil
The Kinderhaus Markt in Rankweil is a light-filled, nature-oriented facility for early childhood education that meets the growing demand for childcare in the community. Three almost identical group areas for a total of 72 children are arranged around a central area with a staircase. The building also houses retreat and studio rooms, a children's restaurant, and green roof terraces, and there is a nature-inspired garden in the outdoor area. - Short description
- The Kinderhaus Markt in Rankweil is a light-filled, nature-oriented place for early childhood education that meets the growing demand for childcare in the community.
- Task:
- The exposed wooden surfaces on windows, portals, panel wings, and fire protection elements had to be permanently protected against UV radiation, moisture, and mechanical stress. At the same time, a completely biocide-free coating solution listed in the Baubook with high surface quality and a homogeneous, understated appearance was required. Since individual elements were used in heavily frequented areas and outdoors, the coating structure had to be elastic, diffusion-open, and low-maintenance, while also taking into account child-friendly safety (low emissions) and the fire protection requirements of the components.
