Waterproofing filler with high sulphate resistance
Product specifications
On delivery
The stated values represent typical product characteristics and are not to be construed as binding product specifications.
Field of application
- Waterproof repair of defective areas
- Joint and surface filler
- Production of sealing coves
- Levelling under waterproofing
Properties
- Low-stress and crack-free setting
- Very good adhesion to the substrate
- Single-layer coating thickness up to 50 mm
- High sulphate resistance and low active alkali content (SR/NA)
-
Preparation
-
Substrate requirements
Clean, dust-free and capable of supporting a load.
-
Preparations
Remove old plaster, paint layers etc. down to a stable, mineral substrate to an extent of at least 80 cm above the damaged area.
Chase out friable joints to a depth of at least 2 cm.
Pre-wet highly absorbent substrates so that they are slightly damp.
Exterior priming:
Prime absorbent mineral substrates with Kiesol MB.
Interior priming:
Prime mineral substrates with Kiesol (1:1 in water).
Bonding layer
Apply Remmers Waterproofing Slurry as a bonding layer.
All follow-up working steps must be carried out wet-on-wet.
-
-
Application
-
Application requirements
Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5 °C to max. +30 °C
-
Levelling/sealing cove
Apply product on the fresh bonding layer.
Repairing defective and broken-out areas
Apply product in a filler consistency to the wet bonding layer, if necessary in multiple layers.
Single-layer coating thickness < 50 mm
The following layer is applied as soon as the preceeding one can no longer be damaged.
-
Application instructions
-
Once it has hardened, mortar must not be made workable again by adding either water or more wet mortar.
Protect wet mortar surfaces against frost, rain and drying out too quickly for at least 4 days.
Waterproofing materials may be applied once the product is sufficiently dry.
If necessary, repair flow points beforehand with suitable products (e.g. WP RH rapid).
-
-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Mixing tool, trowel, spreader, plasterer's float, jointing iron
-
Clean tools with water while the material is still fresh.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
If stored in an unopened container and in a dry place, the product will keep for approx. 12 months.
-
Usage
-
Approx. 1.7 kg/m²/mm layer thickness
Approx. 1.7 kg/m as sealing cove
-
General information
-
The mixing water must be of drinking water quality.
May contain traces of pyrite (iron sulphide).
The characteristic data of the product were calculated under laboratory conditions at 20°C and 65% relative humidity.
Current regulations and legal requirements must be taken into account and deviations from these must be agreed separately.
The relevant test certificates must be observed when planning and carrying out work.
Observe the “Guideline for Planning and Executing Waterproofing on Building Elements using Mineral Waterproofing Slurries" ("Richtlinie für die Planung und Ausführung von Abdichtungen von Bauteilen mit mineralischen Dichtungsschlämmen", Deutsche Bauchemie) as well as the WTA Code of Practice "Subsequent Waterproofing of Building Elements with Ground Contact" ("Nachträgliches Abdichten erdberührter Bauteile").
