    Field of application

    • For use indoors and outdoors
    • for dimensionally stable elements
    • for elements with limited dimensional stability
    • for not dimensionally stable elements
    • For professional users only
    • Interior wood
    • Exterior wood with no ground contact
    • Spruce, pine, larch, meranti and oak
    • Dimensionally stable wood building elements: e.g. windows and doors

    Properties

    • Water-based
    • Free from film preservation and wood protection biocides
    • Recyclable: timber building elements (e.g. windows) impregnated with Induline IW-130 can be recycled without restrictions
    • Preventive, physical protection against damp (hydrophobic treatment): reduces the risk of blue discolouration on the surface
    • Provides protection against moisture, especially in end-grain areas
    • Can be overcoated with any system products
    • Water-based: does not give off any unpleasant odours and tools can be cleaned with water
    • Strengthens wood
    • Good processing properties
    • Ready to apply by dipping or flow-coating
    • Good flow properties on bare wood
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

The substrate must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease and loose substances, and prepared in the correct manner.

Dimensionally stable wood building elements: wood moisture content 11-15%

      • Preparations

Before applying the material, all trimming work such as milling, sawing and drilling must be complete.

    • Application
      • Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +15 °C to max. +30 °C
      • Stir before use
      • Stir well, including during application or after a break in work.

Brush application, dipping and flow coating.

        Once dry, apply further coatings.

Seal opened containers well and use contents as soon as possible.

    • Application instructions
      • Drying time: can be worked over after 4 h
      • Check colour, adhesion and compatibility with the substrate by setting up a trial area.

Before coating technically modified woods and wood-based materials, apply the coating to a trial surface and conduct a suitability test on the desired area of use.

      • Drying

        Overcoating: after approx. 4 hours

Practice values at +20 °C and 65% relative humidity.

Low temperatures, poor ventilation and high humidity delay drying.

      • Thinning

        Ready to use

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Paintbrush, dipping tank, flow coating facility

      • Clean tools with water or Aqua RK-898 Cleaning Concentrate immediately after use.

Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • Store frost-free and cool / protect for moisture / close containers
      • Shelf-life 12 months
      • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

    • Usage
      • Total application/absorption rate 80 ml - 120 ml Total / m²
      • 80 - 120 ml/m² per coat

      • The application rate is dependent on the type of wood and the absorbency of the substrate.

    • General information
      • According to the current state of technology (including DIN 68800-1 in Germany), wood preservation measures must also be planned for non-load-bearing wood building elements promptly and carefully, in coordination with all parties involved in the construction (architect, developer, workers), taking into consideration the legal requirements and local conditions. The use of Induline IW-130 should therefore always be indicated in a suitable way prior to purchase, or agreed in writing with the client beforehand. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in country-specific and project-specific conflicts with legal requirements, standards or certification systems. Upon request, Remmers Technical Service would be happy to provide a suitable draft template for the agreement on the use of Induline IW-130 as a wood preservative on the wooden building elements.

Observe the information sheets “Upkeep and Maintenance of Dipping Tanks and Flow Coating Facilities” and “Information on Workplace Hygiene”.
