The general principle behind acidic cleaning is always the same: the acidic components penetrate or infiltrate the dirt crust from behind causing it to dissolve, the surfactants allow the surface to be wetted, encapsulate the dirt and allow it to be wiped off. Remmers BFA works differently and stands out thanks to its easy application. It serves to remove all types of biological dirt and acts as a protective layer to prevent more dirt collecting.
A layer of dirt is a good absorbent layer for moisture and harmful substances based on the large inner surface. These usually respond to the underside of the crust and are the cause of damage to the building, even when it is initially concealed under the crust.
The following technical and aesthetic reasons apply for cleaning:
- Elimination of risk factors, such as salt enrichment, and delaying the drying process
- Preparation of the surface for further preservation measures by restoring capillary absorptive capacity
- Removal of visible dirt
The Rotec blasting procedure by Remmers is a further development of the so-called ‘Jos’ method: however the nozzle wear is greatly reduced without compromising on cleaning effectiveness.
The only technique of interior cleaning that makes sense and can be done at a reasonable price is still the use of EDTA packs. One development in interior cleaning is the introduction of peelable films to remove superficial dust. The product developed by FTB-Remmers, Arte Mundit®, is based on a specially formulated natural latex dispersion.
