Polyurethane-reinforced floor coating
Product specifications
On delivery
The stated values represent typical product characteristics and are not to be construed as binding product specifications.
Field of application
- Sealing and coating floor surfaces not subjected to traffic loads and with simple to moderate loads (simple foot traffic).
- On absorbent, cement-bound, mineral substrates, e.g. cement screed and concrete, old coatings, poured asphalt and levelling compounds.
- For floor surfaces that are subjected to heaver loads and wheel loads, e.g. garages and spaces with forklift truck traffic, we recommend using a 2K coating system.
Properties
- High-quality protective coating
- Resistant to common household chemicals
- 3 in 1: primer, coating and seal coat
- Free from solvents and plasticizers
- Minimal emissions (Blue Angel)
- Water-dilutable
- Resistant to abrasion and weathering
- Hard-wearing
- Good hiding power
- Easy to apply
- Water vapour diffusion capable
- Can be given non-slip properties
-
Preparation
-
Substrate requirements
The substrate must be stable, load-bearing, solid, and free of loose parts, dust, oil, grease, rubber abrasion and any other substances with a separating effect.
The adhesive pull strength of the substrate must be at least 1.0 N/mm² on average; the compressive strength at least 25 N/mm².
The substrates must have reached their equilibrium moisture and must also be protected against rear moisture penetration during use. -
Preparations
Use a suitable method to prepare the substrate, e.g. diamond grinding, so that the above-mentioned requirements are met. Use Remmers PCC systems or Remmers EP mortars to repair broken-out and defective areas on the substrate.
-
-
Application
-
Stir well before using.
Coating structure on concrete and cement:
Prepare the substrate.
Apply the first coat diluted with approx. 30% water.
Then apply 2 coats undiluted by brush.Coating structure on old coatings:
Check that old coatings are compatible first.
Prepare the substrate and repair any defective areas.
Then apply at least 2 x PU Color FS 1K undiluted.

Application instructions
-
When coating continuous surfaces, only use materials with the same batch number as slight differences in colour, gloss and texture may occur.
To create a slip-resistant finish, granules (Add 150 or Add 250) can be added to the individual coatings.
-
Drying
Low temperatures and high humidity delay drying.
-
-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Paintbrush, nylon roller with min. 10 mm pile height
Clean tools, equipment and any splashed material immediately with water while still fresh.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 24 months.
-
Usage
-
Approx. 160 ml/m² per coat, at least 2 coats required. Apply a test coating to the surface to determine the precise application rate.

General information
-
Please secure the container against tipping over and leaking during transport!
Not suitable for garage floors, permanently wet areas or exterior areas.
Colour information and colour prints are non-binding. Colour deviations are possible depending on the substrate and printing technique. After drying, the final colour will differ from the fresh colour in the container.
Do not allow water to pool.
Sealants and coatings on floor surfaces are subject to wear and tear as a result of use. The individual service life depends primarily on the layer thickness and the intensity of use. In areas with particularly high traffic, it is recommended to apply the thickest possible wearing layer and/or to re-seal the floor regularly. Abrasion (e.g. from hard chair castors, sand, grit, metal shavings, etc.) can cause light to whitish scratches and grooves, which can be unsightly. The intensity and visibility of these marks depends on the colour chosen. This does not affect the technical functionality of the floor surfaces.
For further information on application, system structures and maintenance of the products listed, refer to the latest versions of the relevant Technical Data Sheets and the Remmers system recommendations.

Disposal instructions
-
Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not pour liquid coating or residues down the drain, even when cleaning tools used for applying the coating.
