    Field of application

    • For use indoors and outdoors
    • Non-destructive reduction of salt content in a poultice procedure in accordance with WTA Code of Practice 3-13-01

    Properties

    • Highly effective poultice material made from a combination of active mineral constituents and cellulose
    • Free of cement and lime
    • Optimised transfer of moisture and salt through lightweight, capillary-active aggregates
    • Does not leave any residue and is easy to remove

    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

        Clean, dust-free and capable of supporting a load.

      • Preparations

        Pre-wet the substrate using deionised water so that it is matt damp.

    • Application
      • Application temperature: min. 5 °C
      • Mortar cover / Filling knife / Trowel application / Jointing iron
      • Apply the product in a layer measuring 10-20 mm thick.

        Following a sufficient period in which the product is left to stand, carefully remove the compress. If necessary, repeat the process and carry out testing in parallel.

         

    • Application instructions
      • Analyse the salt content before and after application (BRIfA).

        Monitor the drying progress on a continual basis and, if necessary, protect from drying out too quickly.

        Compresses that have dried out should be removed without delay.

        Hairline/shrinkage cracks are safe and are not cause for complaint as they do not impair the properties of the mortar.

      • Clean tools with water while the material is still fresh.

      • Protect form moisture

      • If stored in an unopened container and in a dry place, the product will keep for approx. 12 months.

    • Usage
      • Approx. 14 kg / cm thick layer / m²
      • Approx. 14 kg/m²/cm layer thickness, depending on the conditions of the substrate

      • Apply to a large enough trial area to determine the precise amount required.

    • General information
      • Wear a dust mask (see Safety Data Sheet).

        Do not use on gypsum-based substrates.

        Always set up a trial area/trial areas first.

    • Disposal instructions
      • Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.
