Field of application

  • For use on floors/walls/ceilings indoors and outdoors
  • For professional users only
  • Mineral surfaces, in particular limestone
  • Reduction of heavy metals, in particular lead
  • Reduction of encrusted dirt
  • Removal of stains caused by iron or copper compounds
  • For use by professionals

Properties

  • Water-based
  • Low quantity of active cleaning substances
  • Gentle cleaning
  • Emission-free
  • Dries to form an easily removable skin that binds surface impurities
  • Binds impurities in the surface
  • Complexes heavy metals
  • Preparation
    • Substrate requirements

      Stable and free of dust.

    • Preparations

Use a suitable tool to coarsely clean off the substrate.

Set up a trial area to determine the cleaning effect.

Take appropriate measures to protect adjacent building elements and materials that should not come into contact with the product.

      Thoroughly pre-wet the substrate.

  • Application
    • Application temperature: min. 5 °C max. 30 °C
    • Brush / Filling knife / Smoothing trowel / Airless spraying gun
    • Stir well.

If necessary, mix the material with Clean Galena max to modify the cleaning effect and drying behaviour.

We recommend setting up at least 3 trial surfaces: undiluted Clean Galena neutral, Clean Galena neutral with Clean Galena max 1:1, and undiluted Clean Galena max.

      Document the mixing ratio.

Apply to the entire surface area of the substrate using a suitable tool.

Fill undercut areas and contours thoroughly with the material.

Once completely dry (usually 1 to 3 days after application), remove the film by carefully detaching using a spatula.

After removing the skin, clean the treated surfaces with a sponge and fresh water, as well as hot steam if necessary, starting from the lowest point.

Further cleaning procedures might be necessary, depending on the degree of contamination and the substrate.

      If needed, repeat the application.

  • Application instructions
    • Please contact Remmers Technical Service (phone +49 5432 83900) before applying with machine processing.

The drying time depends on the substrate, the coating thicknesses and the climate conditions.

The substrate must be free from biological contamination such as moss, algae and mould.

  • Working tools / cleaning
    • Brush / Filling knife / Smoothing trowel / Airless spraying gun
    • Paintbrush, scraper, smoothing trowel, airless spraying equipment, peristaltic pump

Clean tools immediately after use with water and detergent.

  • Storage / shelf life
    • Store frost-free and cool / protect for moisture / close containers
    • Shelf-life 12 months
    • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

  • Usage
    • Approx. 2 - 3 kg/m² on a flat surface
Standard wet film thickness 2.5 mm

    • Determine the precise application rate on a sufficiently large, representative trial surface.

When mixed with Clean Galena, the application rate is reduced according to the mixing ratio.

  • General information
    • Always set up a sufficiently large, representative trial area or areas!

Current regulations and legal requirements must be taken into account and deviations from these must be agreed separately.

The relevant test certificates must be observed when planning and carrying out work.

  • Disposal instructions
    • Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.

Any material that is contaminated after application must be disposed of in accordance with the applicable regulations.

  • Safety / regulations
    • For further information on the safety aspects of transporting, storing and handling the product and on disposal and environmental matters, please see the current Safety Data Sheet.
