Substrate requirements
The substrate must be clean and free of dust.
The substrate must be free of all traces of fungal or bacterial attack, algae growth or insect infestation.
Permitted wood moisture content: u < 18%
Thick solid timber ≥ 22 mm
Thick tongue and groove joints ≥ 12 mmThe wood must be cut to size and finished.

Preparations
Planed woods: sanded with P 80
Do not attach metallic fittings prior to impregnation.

Application

Sanded wood: dip-coat, spray or apply by brush on all sides three times (wet-on-wet)
Rough-sawn/fine-sawn wood: dip-coat, spray or apply by brush on all sides twice (wet-on-wet)
After drying (wood moisture content max. 15%) and removal of excess salt residues using a brush, by sponging down or by sanding lightly, the treated wood may be finished with approved decorative coatings (see system products).

Application instructions

A trial coating must be applied prior to application of the product in order to check the adhesion and compatibility of the coating.
The treated components must be protected against rain and moisture (enclosed spaces, covered structures etc.) and must not be exposed to weathering.

Drying
Can be overcoated: after approx. 4 hours
Low temperatures, poor ventilation and high humidity delay drying.
Wood moisture content may only be measured using the Darr method.

Dipping tank, brush, board coating machine, spraying equipment

Clean tools with water immediately after use.
Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.

Storage / shelf life

If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

Spruce/fir: 0.3 kg/m² (= 268 ml/m²)

Disposal instructions

Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.
