The adhesion of insulation boards in the plinth and basement areas is crucial in order to avoid thermal bridges, prevent water from running behind the boards and secure the boards mechanically. With MB Fix 2K, insulation board adhesives have now also entered the post-bitumen era. Like all products in the MB family, MB Fix 2K is based on a reactive, fast-setting and bitumen-free binder. This means that the material hardens quickly and reliably, regardless of weather conditions – even behind airtight and diffusion-tight building elements such as perimeter insulation boards.
MB Fix 2K is also particularly economical and cost-effective: when mixed, fine air bubbles are created that almost double the volume. The result is a lightweight, safe and extremely cost-effective reactive insulation board adhesive.
