Preparation
-
Substrate requirements
The substrate must be clean, dry, flat and capable of bearing a load, and free of dust, oil, grease and release agents.
-
Preparations
Remove projecting seams and mortar remains.
Close broken-out areas using a suitable mortar.
As a general rule, priming with Primer Hydro F is required.
-
-
Application
-
Pipe penetrations, internal and external corners, wall-wall and wall-floor transitions must be waterproofed using sealing tape or sealing sleeves from the Tape VF 120 series. The sealing tape or sleeves must be embedded in a bonding layer of FF 1K such that no bubbles are formed, and then overcoated with the first waterproofing layer.
Apply the undiluted material generously over the entire surface using a suitable tool.
The second waterproofing layer can be applied as soon as the first layer is dry enough that it can no longer be damaged.
Once the second waterproofing layer is dry, the tile cement FL fix [basic] can be applied.
-
Application instructions
-
The finished waterproofing must not fall below the minimum dry layer thickness of 0.5 mm at any point.
At least two waterproofing layers are required.
In work areas subject to DIN 18534, the waterproofing layers must be applied in contrasting colours.
Take appropriate measures to protect adjacent building elements and materials that should not come into contact with the product.
Material not compatible with bituminous waterproofing.
-
Drying
1st coat approx. 1 - 3 hours (+23 °C/50% rel. humidity)
2nd coat approx. 4 - 8 hours (+23 °C/50% rel. humidity)

-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Paintbrush, flat brush, lambskin roller
Clean tools, equipment and any splashed material immediately with water while still fresh.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.
-
Usage
-
Approx. 1.2 kg/m² (for a dry layer thickness of min. 0.5 mm)
-
Dependent on the substrate and any sealing tape used.
Apply to a large enough trial area to determine the precise amount required.
-
General information
-
Do not use the material for waterproofing in underwater areas.
Current regulations and legal requirements must be taken into account and deviations from these must be agreed separately.
