Polyurethane-reinforced special coating
Product specifications
On delivery
The stated values represent typical product characteristics and are not to be construed as binding product specifications.
Field of application
- For coating concrete and cement screed surfaces that are not exposed to constant water loads
- For garage floors, basements, private workshops, etc.
Properties
- High-quality protective coating
- Light-fast and resistant to weathering
- High abrasion resistance
- Slip-resistant
- Resistant to short-term exposure to chemicals, oil, petrol etc.

Preparation
-
Preparations
The 2K epoxy primer belonging to the system must be completely dry and must adhere sufficiently to the substrate. In case of doubt, check the adhesion by means of a grid scratch test. The waiting time between priming and the PU garage coating is at least 16 and max. 48 hours. If these interval times are exceeded, the primer must be prepared again by sanding with a disc sanding machine fitted with a 120 grit sanding grid, for example.

Application
-
Stir well before using.
Evenly apply the ready-to-use mixture, e.g. using a Remmers epoxy roller (25 cm) and roll it on crosswise. Puddle formation must be avoided. Apply the material with a suitable flat brush and 10 cm epoxy roller along rising components, in hard-to-reach areas and corners.
Applying a coating to concrete and cement, interior and exterior (covered outdoor areas):
Prime 1x with 2K Epoxy Primer.
Then apply at least 2 undiluted coats of PU Garage Coating.Applying a coating on top of old coatings, or touching up a coating:
Check the compatibility of old coatings.
Prepare the substrate, repair any defects.
Then apply at least 2 undiluted coats of PU Garage Coating. In case of doubt, the adhesion should be checked by means of a grid scratch test.

Application instructions
-
The usual protective measures must be observed when using low-pollutant paints and varnishes.
When coating continuous surfaces, only use materials with the same batch number as slight differences in colour, gloss and texture may occur.
-
Drying
Low temperatures and high humidity delay drying.
-
-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Paintbrush, nylon roller with min. 10 mm pile height
Clean tools, equipment and any splashed material immediately with water while still fresh.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 24 months.
-
Usage
-
Approx. 160 ml/m² per coat depending on the surface condition.
At least 2 coats are required.

General information
-
Please secure the container against tipping over and leaking during transport!
Do not allow water to pool.
When properly applied, the PU Garage Coating can be driven on by vehicles with pneumatic tyres and is generally insensitive to discolouration caused by car tyres. However, should discolouration occur due to plasticiser migration as a result of the different manufacturing processes, rubber compositions or high tyre temperatures, this discolouration has no negative impact on the usage properties. In general, plasticiser migration – especially in the case of very soft tyres – cannot be ruled out for any floor covering.
Slipping hazard in wet conditions.
Colour information and colour prints are non-binding. Colour deviations are possible depending on the substrate and printing technique. After drying, the final colour will differ from the fresh colour in the container.
