    • Water-based
    • Improves the fire behaviour of wood
    • Free from boron and biocides
    • Clear once dry: does not stain the wood
    • The impregnated wood retains its natural appearance
    • Approved for use in systems with selected decorative coatings
    • Easy to prepare with water
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

The substrate must be clean and free of dust.

The substrate must be free of all traces of fungal or bacterial attack, algae growth or insect infestation.

        Permissible wood moisture content: u < 25%

Thick solid timber ≥ 22 mm

Thick tongue and groove joints ≥ 12 mm

The wood must be cut to size and finished.

      • Preparations

Do not attach metallic fittings prior to impregnation.

Spacers must be inserted between wood layers (ideally plastic rods).

    • Application
      • Application temperature: min. 5 °C max. 30 °C
      • Pressure coating
      • Application requirements

Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5 °C to max. +30 °C.
        Relative humidity max. 80%.

      • Vacuum pressure impregnation process

        Pre-vacuum: -0.9 bar (min. 30 min)

Pressure phase: ≥ 9 bar (min. 4 hrs)

        Post-vacuum: -0.7 bar (min. 15 min)

After re-drying (wood moisture content max. 15%) and removal of the excess salt residues by brushing, the treated wood can be coated with approved decorative coatings (see system products).

    • Application instructions
      • The treated components must be protected against rain and moisture (enclosed spaces, covered structures etc.) and must not be exposed to weathering.

      • Drying

        Re-drying: after approx. 4 weeks (at 23 °C and 50% RH)

Technical drying in a drying chamber is recommended.

Low temperatures, poor ventilation and high humidity delay drying.

Wood moisture content may only be measured using the Darr method.

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Pressure coating
      • Vacuum pressure impregnation process

    • Storage / shelf life
